Ice Cream on the Pier- Every Day

Did you get the scoop? The ice cream at Driftwood Cafe is made fresh daily by The Birchwood’s talented pastry chef. Whether you’re strolling the pier to shop, enjoy a sunset, or grab a quick workout, it’s ALWAYS the right time for an ice cream cone!

Public Art – Daily throughout the Pier

Every day is eventful at St. Pete Pier, where the views of the coast are only matched by the myriad of site-specific commissioned sculptures and public art installations peppered throughout the Pier.  At the entrance to the Gateway, “Myth” by Nathan Mabry portrays St. Pete’s signature pelican in vibrant red origami. Directly in front of the Pier’s main parking lot, “Morning Stars” by Xenobia Bailey welcomes guests with an array of colorful mandalas. Near The Point, home to Teak, Bar Teaki, and the Driftwood Café, the bronze “Olnetopia” by Nick Ervinck takes the form of seawater crashing through a hollow coastal rock.

Sunsets and Starlight – St. Pete Pier After Dark

As the sun goes down, St. Pete Pier comes alive with color and life. Grab a cocktail and watch the famous St. Pete sunset from atop The Point at Pier Teaki. Afterward, take your favorite beverage to-go and stroll down the main pathway as you’re serenaded by musicians performing on select days. End the night surrounded by softly billowing lines of light under “Bending Arc” by award-winning Tampa Bay native Janet Echelman. This larger-than-life kinetic sculpture sways gently in the breeze as blue, purple, and magenta light illuminates it against the starlit sky.

Whether you visit on a bustling weekend day or enjoy a romantic night after work, there’s always something to discover. We’ll see you at the Pier!
